Parish Social Ministry (Outreach)

Parish Social Ministry is multi-faceted. We serve the people in need through our programs including our Food Pantry, Peanut Butter & Jelly Ministry, our Martha & Mary, and our Thrift Shop.

Throughout the year we help with special needs by giving gift cards. In September we give gift cards for school supplies, in November we give gift cards and food baskets to families in need for Thanksgiving, and in December we give gift cards for toys and clothing so children can have a happier Christmas.

Our Food Pantry

Our food pantry is managed by volunteers who are eager to help stock shelves, shop for perishables to fill our refrigerators/ freezers and pack bags of food which are given to those in need. With loving hearts these volunteers give of themselves to serve others.

Through our baptism we are called to be servants to one another. We are here to serve all of the people of our community regardless of race, creed, or ethnic background. The ministry strives to fulfill the gospel message of Jesus through caring for and working with people who are in need within our community. It is also our responsibility to educate and raise the consciousness of the people in our parish in matters pertaining to justice and peace.
